On March 9th the GRETE achievements were celebrated by sharing them publicly with a high-profile audience. 220+ stakeholders of the cellulose industry attended the 4th edition of the Cellulose Fibres Conference 2023 in Cologne, Germany. The project results were shared through different media: several oral presentations allowed the GRETE experts to illustrate the outcomes first-hand, while interacting also with the online participants in an extensive Q&A session.
In addition to the presentations, scientifically relevant details of the GRETE research were shared also in the poster area of the conference foyer where the GRETE was represented with a total of four posters, presented by VTT and BOKU and authored in collaboration with other consortium partners. The online and onsite attendees will receive the conference proceedings in the upcoming days while the exhibited posters are already available on the conference website here.
Furthermore, a large exhibition set up in the conference foyer offered space for the GRETE samples, catching the interest of the attendees and stimulating the conversation with the present consortium members. Showcasing the tangible outputs at a dedicated booth proved to be a good way to illustrate the project achievements visually, and helped to summarise the exhibited contents into the GRETE brochure. Finally, the GRETE international conference offered the opportunity to meet in person with stakeholders of the wood-to-textile value chain, exchange knowledge and network for further exploitation of the project results.
Last but not least, the event was the final physical gathering for all consortium members that after almost four years of prolific collaboration will officially say goodbye at the end of April.
