GRETE caught the opportunity of the Global Bioeconomy Summit (GBS) call for video to disseminate its ambitions to a broad audience of experts of the bioeconomy.
The GBS is a biennial international conference. The event’s goal is to globally review and discuss emerging opportunities and challenges of the bioeconomy and develop visions for the future development of a sustainable bioeconomy among key actors of policymaking, science and innovation, business and civil society. The Summit was originally initiated by the Bioeconomy Council of the Federal German Government in 2015 and is supported by the International Advisory Council on Global Bioeconomy (IACGB). The Summit’s mission is to contribute to a future where the bioeconomy benefits society and the environment through sustainable solutions (Agenda 2030), enabling people to enjoy a good quality of life while respecting nature and relying on a regenerating ecosystems, thus a “sustainable bioeconomy for all”.
We are very happy and honoured to take part in this global summit: the GRETE project video is available in the GBS2020 Media Corner together with a waste number of bioeconomy related initiatives.
